Shyft Energy (Pty) Ltd was launched early in 2025 and is an Africa-focused energy company that sells clean electricity to homes, cars, and businesses.
The South African electricity market is simultaneously being liberalised, decentralised, and modernised which provides fertile ground for a new entrant like Shyft Energy to disrupt.
Shyft Energy provides energy solutions across residential homes, residential estates, and commercial properties. We finance, install, operate and maintain solar, battery and energy-management systems, allowing customers to access cheaper, cleaner and more reliable electricity without the upfront capital cost.

Co-founder
A cross-functional engineer and entrepreneur with 20+ years’ experience in the energy and technology sectors. Bridging mechanical, electronic, software, and petroleum engineering disciplines, he operates seamlessly between physical infrastructure and digital systems. After commercialising IoT solutions for bulk fuel environments, he now focuses on unlocking the potential of distributed energy.
