Shyft Energy provides cheaper, cleaner electricity generated at your home using solar panels and battery storage installed on your property. You don’t buy or rent the equipment — you simply pay for the electricity and services the system provides.
Yes, always. Your municipal connection stays in place. Shyft supplies electricity generated at your home, and the municipal grid seamlessly supplies the rest whenever needed.
Through a simple Shyft wallet in the app. Charges for electricity supplied by the Shyft system and the monthly service fee are settled through your wallet or billing account.
When your wallet has funds, your home uses electricity generated by the Shyft system at a cost structured to remain lower than the equivalent municipal electricity cost. If your wallet runs low or empty, your home automatically continues using municipal electricity — no interruptions.

Buying it is totally optional and separate from how much electricity you’ve used.
Once purchased ownership transfers to you. Shyft will stop supplying and billing you for electricity generated by the system under the agreement. You may operate it as your own private solar installation, subject to municipal rules

When Shyft owns the system, extra power sent to the grid earns credits from the municipality into your rates account. Those credits are allocated to Shyft — this is part of how we make the savings possible for you. For transparency, you’ll see this settled through your Shyft wallet.
